Version 2 of the Near-Real-Time DMSP SSM/I-SSMIS Pathfinder Daily EASE-Grid Brightness Temperatures data set is now available at the NASA National Snow and Ice Data Center Distributed Active Archive Center (NSIDC DAAC). The change from Version 1 to Version 2 follows a switch in the SSMIS processing stream from the DMSP-F17 satellite to the DMSP-F18 satellite.

The January 2018 data is now available for the MEaSUREs Greenland Image Mosaics from Sentinel-1A and 1B, Version 2 data set at the NASA National Snow and Ice Data Center Distributed Active Archive Center (NSIDC DAAC). This data set is part of the Making Earth System Data Records for Use in Research Environments (MEaSUREs) Program.

Version 2 of the MEaSUREs MODIS Mosaic of Greenland (MOG) 2005, 2010, and 2015 Image Maps data set is now available at the NASA National Snow and Ice Data Center Distributed Active Archive Center (NSIDC DAAC). Version 2 includes Mosaic of Greenland 2010 and 2015 (MOG2010 and MOG2015) data, in addition to the MOG2005 data. This data set is funded by NASA’s Making Earth System Data Records for Use in Research Environments (MEaSUREs) Program.

Measurements of the bidirectional reflectance distribution function (BRDF) at two locations in Colorado—Grand Mesa, a snow-covered, forested study site about 40 miles east of Grand Junction, and Senator Beck Basin approximately 80 miles to the SSE of Grand Mesa—are now available at the NASA National Snow and Ice Data Center Distributed Active Archive Center (NSIDC DAAC).

VIIRS swath data customization options are now available at the NASA National Snow and Ice Data Center Distributed Active Archive Center (NSIDC DAAC). VIIRS 6-minute swath (VNP10, VNP29, & VNP30) datasets use algorithms specifically designed to be compatible with MODIS Terra and Aqua Version 6 datasets.

The NASA IceBridge Sea Ice Freeboard, Snow Depth, and Thickness Quick Look data set available at the NASA National Snow and Ice Data Center Distributed Active Archive Center (NSIDC DAAC) has been updated from 09 March 2017 to 19 April 2017. This data set is an evaluation product containing derived geophysical data products retrieved over the Arctic sea ice cover using the IceBridge Airborne Topographic Mapper (ATM), Snow Radar, Digital Mapping System (DMS), and KT19 pyrometer.
