NASA IceBridge ATM L1B Elevation and Return Strength data for 27 August 2016 to 15 September 2016 Greenland flights are now available from the NASA National Snow and Ice Data Center Distributed Active Archive Center (NSIDC DAAC). This data set contains spot elevation measurements of Arctic and Antarctic sea ice, and Greenland, Antarctic Peninsula, and West Antarctic region ice surface acquired using the NASA Airborne Topographic Mapper (ATM) instrumentation.

This data set contains resampled and smoothed elevation measurements of Arctic and Antarctic sea ice, and Greenland, Antarctic Peninsula, and West Antarctic region land ice surface acquired using the NASA Airborne Topographic Mapper (ATM) instrumentation.
On 13 March 2017, the NASA IceBridge HiCARS 1 L2 Geolocated Ice Thickness data were replaced. The data files now include extensive header information, including field descriptions, campaign information, and data processing notes. XML metadata files are now included with the data set. This data set contains ice thickness, surface and bed elevation, and echo strength measurements taken over Antarctica using the Hi-Capability Airborne Radar Sounder (HiCARS) instrument.

NASA IceBridge POS/AV L1B Corrected Position and Attitude Data for 2016 Antarctica are now available from the NASA National Snow and Ice Data Center Distributed Active Archive Center (NSIDC DAAC). This data set contains georeferencing data from the Applanix 510 POS AV system flown with the Digital Mapping System (DMS) and other instruments over Greenland and Antarctica.

NASA IceBridge UAF Lidar Scanner L1B Geolocated Surface Elevation Triplets data for 2016 are now available from the NASA National Snow and Ice Data Center Distributed Active Archive Center (NSIDC DAAC). This data set contains scanning laser altimetry data points of Alaska Glaciers acquired using the airborne University of Alaska Fairbanks (UAF) Glacier Lidar system.

The MEaSUREs Greenland Ice Mapping Project (GIMP) Land Ice and Ocean Classification Mask data set is now available at the NASA National Snow and Ice Data Center Distributed Active Archive Center (NSIDC DAAC). This data set, part of the Making Earth System Data Records for Use in Research Environments (MEaSUREs) Program, provides a complete land ice and ocean classification mask for the Greenland ice sheet that was mapped using a combination of Landsat 7 ETM+ panchromatic band imagery, and RADARSAT- 1 Synthetic Amplitude Radar (SAR) amplitude images.
The Application for Extracting and Exploring Analysis Ready Samples (AppEEARS), a web based data extraction and visualization tool, can now be used to explore MODIS snow cover datasets. Point samples can be ordered in AppEEARS by submitting a list of geographic coordinates for the desired location(s). The complete collections of MOD10A1, MYD10A1, MOD10A2, and MYD10A2 are available for extraction in AppEEARS, providing over 16 years’ worth of snow cover data.
The MEaSUREs Greenland Ice Mapping Project (GIMP) 2000 Image Mosaic data set is now available at the NASA National Snow and Ice Data Center Distributed Active Archive Center (NSIDC DAAC). This data set, part of the Making Earth System Data Records for Use in Research Environments (MEaSUREs) Program, provides a complete 15 m resolution image mosaic of the Greenland ice sheet derived from Landsat ETM+ and RADARSAT imagery from the years 1999 to 2002.
NASA IceBridge-related Likely Basal Thermal State of the Greenland Ice Sheet data are now published at the NASA National Snow and Ice Data Center Distributed Active Archive Center (NSIDC DAAC). This data set contains key data sets that show how the likely basal thermal state was inferred from existing airborne and satellite data sets and recent methods, and provides a synthesis mask of the likely basal thermal state over the Greenland Ice Sheet.
NASA IceBridge DMS L1B Geolocated and Orthorectified Images for the 2016 Antarctica campaign are now available at the NASA National Snow and Ice Data Center Distributed Active Archive Center (NSIDC DAAC). This data set contains Level-1B imagery taken from the Digital Mapping System (DMS) over Greenland and Antarctica.

The Science Investigator-led Processing System (SIPS) has released the AMSR-E/AMSR2 Unified L2B Half-Orbit 25 km EASE-Grid Surface Soil Moisture data set. This data set provides a long-term data record (23 July 2002 through present) using a combination of AMSR-E and AMSR2 data with reprocessed AMSR-E L1R brightness temperatures. Backprocessing is ongoing, with data available from 23 July 2012 to date. These data are available at the NASA National Snow and Ice Data Center Distributed Active Archive Center (NSIDC DAAC).
