It was discovered that data from the MODIS/[Terra/Aqua] CGF Snow Cover Daily L3 Global 500m SIN Grid, Version 61 products, accessible through the NASA National Snow and Ice Data Center Distributed Active Archive Center (NSIDC DAAC), for the month of January 2019 were produced without the necessary spin-up phase that ensures the stability of the algorithm.
The files from 01 January 2019 through 31 January 2019 will be replaced once reprocessed, and in the meantime data for this period will be missing.
Users who had previously downloaded these files should be aware that they are erroneous.
