New data set release: SnowEx20 Community Snow Depth Probe Measurements

The SnowEx20 Community Snow Depth Probe Measurements, Version 1 data set is now available at the NASA National Snow and Ice Data Center Distributed Active Archive Center (NSIDC DAAC). This data set, collected during the SnowEx 2020 Intensive Operation Period (IOP) in Grand Mesa, Colorado, contains in situ snow depth measurements. Snow depth was measured using one of three instruments - Magnaprobe, Mesa 2, or pit ruler. Pit ruler data were collected from 150 snow pits identified for the Grand Mesa IOP. Magnaprobe and Mesa 2 data were collected along spiral tracks moving outwards from snow pit locations. This data set has a temporal coverage from 28 January to 12 February 2020
