The SMAP Science Data System (SDS) has released updated NASA SMAP data products at the NASA National Snow and Ice Data Center Distributed Active Archive Center (NSIDC DAAC). The following NASA SMAP Levels 1-3 data have been updated:
New data access options are available for the MEaSUREs Greenland Monthly Image Mosaics from MODIS, Version 1 data set accessible from the NASA National Snow and Ice Data Center Distributed Active Archive Center (NSIDC DAAC). The direct download location for this MEaSUREs (Making Earth System Data Records for Use in Research Environments) data set has changed, and both temporal searching and ordering are now available through NASA Earthdata Search using the Package Options button on the data set Web page.
Version 1.3 of the MEaSUREs Calibrated Enhanced-Resolution Passive Microwave Daily EASE-Grid 2.0 Brightness Temperature ESDR, Version 1 data set is now available at the NASA National Snow and Ice Data Center Distributed Active Archive Center (NSIDC DAAC) for the AMSRE, F16, F17, F18 and F19 sensors. The changes in this minor version update vary depending on the sensor and are listed by sensor in Table 11 of the user guide.
The AMSR-E/AMSR2 Unified L2B Half-Orbit 25 km EASE-Grid Surface Soil Moisture, Version 1 data set, available at the NASA National Snow and Ice Data Center Distributed Active Archive Center (NSIDC DAAC), has been updated to the Beta 02 (B02) algorithm. The B02 update corrects an error that caused only half of each swath to be processed. Processing with the B02 algorithm began on May 03 2018. Data from July 07 2012 through May 02 2018 will be reprocessed.
