Update to Lake and River Ice Database

NOAA@NSIDC is pleased to announce a data update to the Global Lake and River Ice Phenology Database. A previous set of freeze/thaw data for Lake Suwa in Japan that had been removed due to an error in the date has been corrected and added back to the database. The data run from 1630 to 2018 and can be accessed via the Global Lake and River Ice Phenology search interface using lake code ARAI1. In addition, six years of freeze/thaw data for the Tornio River in Finland has been added to the database so that the data now run from 1693 to 2013. Those data can also be accessed via the search interface using river code EK26.
