The MEaSUREs Greenland Ice Velocity: Selected Glacier Site Velocity Maps from InSAR, Version 2 data set is now available at the NASA National Snow and Ice Data Center Distributed Active Archive Center (NSIDC DAAC). This data set, part of the Making Earth System Data Records for Use in Research Environments (MEaSUREs) Program, provides velocity estimates determined from Interferometric Synthetic Aperture Radar (InSAR) data for major glacier outlet areas in Greenland beginning 12 June 2008. The InSAR Selected Glacier Site Velocity Maps are produced from the German Aerospace Center’s (DLR) TerraSAR-X/TanDEM-X (TSX/TDX) image pairs.
Version 2 of this data set includes a full reprocessing of an accumulation of minor updates, but output should be generally consistent with previous versions. This update also includes an extension of the data set through September 2019, the addition of consistent NoData values, corrected browse images, the inclusion of a velocity magnitude geoTIFF, and cloud optimized geoTIFF files.
