In August 2019, NSIDC discovered large gaps in the 2018 F18 brightness temperature record. These data gaps occurred between 11 February - 13 March and 30 September - 31 October. They affected data in both the Northern and Southern Hemispheres. In January 2020, the missing data were recovered and reprocessed. As of 29 January 2020, the 2018 brightness temperature record is considered complete, excepting a few days of missing data acknowledged in the SMMR, SSM/I, and SSMIS Sensors Summary documentation.
