About Christopher

Chris Bond is the Systems Engineer for the NASA Snow and Ice Distributed Active Archive Center (DAAC) at NSIDC.  As Systems Engineer, Bond is responsible for contributing to the creation and execution of NSIDC DAAC and NASA EOSDIS strategic goals and tactics to evolve data systems for current and future missions and users.

Bond's extensive experience in data management with a focus on data systems enables him to engage with software project owners, data Product Leads, and NSIDC Service Groups to ensure that the broad needs of DAAC data systems are represented in strategic plans. Bond, in addition to being a Systems Engineer, brings a wealth of experience in project management, having successfully led intricate projects, including NSIDC DAAC's cloud migration and software development initiatives for data discovery tools. Furthermore, Bond serves as the representative of the NSIDC DAAC on the NSIDC Architecture Team.
